At Bark for attention Out Dog Training, we believe the best way to transform behavior is working through the problem, together. We meet you and your dog for a one-on-one training session out in the real world: at your home, your neighborhood park, a favorite restaurant patio, you name it… By assessing the problem-behavior out in the real world, we identify why your dog is acting out. Once the source of the misbehavior has been identified, we adapt our selection of tools and techniques, a combination of high-value rewards and fair consequences, to find what works best for you and your dog. FAQ’S
Got questions? Bark For Attention has answers!
HERE are some of those frequently asked questions:
+ Is Jamaal the right trainer for you?
All training is science-based training courtesy of Dr. Ian Dunbar. I use positive reinforcement and scientifically sound training techniques for a fun process and long-lasting results. There is a hierarchy to training and there are dogs/situations that may result in different approaches and techniques.
I’m not like a lot of other trainers. What I offer is something truly unique — unique because I break down the walls that are keeping you from living the best life with your dog, and then we rebuild from the ground up together. My training is intense and life-changing. Working with me means you have to bring as much to the table as I do (and I bring a lot)! You have to be willing to work hard and be committed to making the changes in your life that need to be made. If you think you’re ready to go the distance with your dog, then we'll be a great match! Everyone around your dog influences him, so I need everybody to be on board with everything – my tools, my techniques, my philosophy, the exercise, and the household management program.
P.S. Exercise and routine is key to the success of my training.
+ What is your style of training?
We are take scentific approach of learning therory using postivie reenforcement primarily. However we also use a Balanced Training at Bark For Attention, sometimes referred to as “Yes/No” Training. This approach training as a way to give our dogs interruptive feedback. Feedback is essential to providing dogs the information regarding which type of behavior is wanted and unwanted. Interruptive feedback means we are giving the dogs immediate feedback (positive or negative) so that dogs understand what the owner wants. Interrupting dogs at the moment directly ties the negative behavior to the negative consequence or the positive behavior to the positive consequence. Basically, we use both rewards and negative consequences to train your dog.
+ What tools do you use?
We use a variety of tools at Bark For Attention Dog Training. Each tool is selected for your unique dog. Here is a list of some of the tools we frequently use:
• Treats • Air Tool • Prong Collar • No Pull Harness • Halti Head Collar
+ Do you finance or have payment plans?
